Potato: A solution to all your skin problems

French fries are not only the good thing that we get from potatoes! Apart from potatoes being tasty, they have many qualities which can improve one’s skin and hair.
Potatoes have vitamin C, iron, vitamin B6 which improves new cell formation.  Potassium which hydrates and moisturizes the skin, calcium which heals dry skin and protects the top layer. All of these together are a great combination for a glowing skin
Potatoes can be used in the form of slices, juice and skin. Here are 5 ways to use potatoes for a face pack!

Potato as a natural skin lightener

  • Peel and grate a raw potato
  • Apply on skin for 20 minutes.
  • Wash it off with water
  • Use alternatively.

Potato for an oil-free skin

  • Mix 2 teaspoons potato juice, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, ½ teaspoon honey (optional)
  • Apply it all over your face and neck.
  • Leave it on for 15 minutes.
  • Wash it off with water
  • Use on alternate days.

Potato as an anti-bacterial face pack

  • Mix 1 tablespoon potato juice or pulp, 1 tablespoon tomato juice or pulp,1 tablespoon honey
  • Mix until you obtain a smooth paste.
  • Apply it evenly on your face, focusing on the affected area.
  • Use once a day (for dry skin use honey)

Potato as a solution to pigmentation

  • Mix 1 teaspoon potato juice, 1 teaspoon rice flour, 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional), 1 teaspoon honey
  • Mix all the ingredients into a thick paste.
  • Apply it on your face and neck and leave it to dry.
  • Use water to scrub the dry face pack gently. Clean your face thoroughly in a circular motion. Use twice a week.

Potato for a tan removal pack

  • Grate the raw potato and extract the juice.
  • Mix this juice with  1 tablespoon Fuller’s earth and make a thick paste.
  • Apply the paste to your face and neck, leave for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Wash it off. Do this twice a week
